SHOW STOCK
SALE OF FAT LAMBS AND SHEEP YESTERDAY. SCHEDULE VALUES MAINTAINED. There was only a handful of buyers at the sale of fat sheep and lambs, held at Solway yesterday in conjunction with the Masterton A. and P. Association’s Show. It was one of the quietest sales for a number of years, but even so the entry, which was below the average. sold out well up to and in some cases in excess of ruling market rates. The schedule for fat lambs dropped on Monday from 7',d to 7d and this no doubt affected the bidding of representatives of export firms. Taken right through ihe lambs averaged out at’ about 7d a lb.
