ENJOYABLE DANCE
ENTERTAINMENT AT HOMEWOOD. A very pleasant dance, organised by the Okautete Mutual Improvement Association, was held in the Homewood Hall on Saturday night and was attended by a large number of local residents and people from Masterton. Between dances, of which the most popular was the “Lambeth Walk,” items were given by Maori entertainers and included movement dances, hakas, solos, duets, and hula dances which were received with much applause by the audience. Misses lona Paku and P. Morris, Mr H. Morris and many others are to be congratulated on the high standard of the items, the dance music, and the excellent supper provided. Among those present were Mr and Mrs Ralph Tatham, Mr and Mrs Fred Tatham, Mr and Mrs Moodie, Mr and Mrs John Morris, Mr and Mrs Stratton, Mr and Mrs Charles Paku and Mr and Mrs C. Taylor; Misses Covendray, Walker (2), Phillips, Joyce Moody, L. Toogood, L. and M. Morris, lona Paku, and Messrs Brown, Mclntosh, Mee, Curran, Spooner, Tomlin, Taggard, Toxward, Wynne, Kirk-Burnnand, Lawson, Walker, Morris, Baillie, Waaka, Rimene, Paku and McCarthy and many others.
