TONIGHT’S EVENTS
NATIONAL DANCING & PIPING TIN HARE RACING. ' EXCELLENT ENTERTAINMENT PROMISED. An excellent entertainment is promised those who attend tonight’s session, the chief features of which will be the national dancing and piping and tin hare racing. Tin hare racing is a recent introduction to the Wairarapa, and no doubt there are many people who will welcome the opportunity of witnessing this excellent sport under such congenial conditions. Two events will be decided, a maiden and an open contest, but as both these will be run in heats, semi-finals and finals a full evening's programme will be presented. The first event will commence at 7.30. Piping events will start at 7 o'clock. There are ten classes for Highland dancing, including sections for boys and girls under 12 years, from 12 to 16 years, and open classes (over 16 years). The Wairarapa College Pipe Band will be in attendance this evening.
