WONDER GLASS BLOWER

NEW DEMONSTRATIONS. An attraction at the Masterton Show well worthy of the patronage is the Wonder Glass Blower, who is again visiting Masterton prior to an extended tour of the Far East, and whose work gives the lie direct to those who contend that the manipulation of glass cannot be made interesting. The glass blower shows in a series of dexterous movements just how easy—or apparently easy—it is to blow common brittle glass into perfect simile of animals, birds, and ornaments of every imaginable shape. The display is not only interesting—it is definitely instructive and enlightening. As they show by their remarks as they work that they are familiar with the history of glass since it was first discovered over 2000 years ago. Everything is new this year, even to the glass dress, which is more beautiful than ever. The large model of a sailing ship having six masts with outspreading sails is a beautiful piece of work.
