EARTHQUAKE IN ITALY
MANY HOUSES DESTROYED. ' TWENTY PERSONS INJURED. (Independent Cable Service.) ROME. February 12. An earthquake which lasted seven seconds destroyed several houses in Scarperia on the lower slopes of the Etruscan Apennines, near Florence, today. . There were no casualties in Scarperia, but in the Mugello area, where there was an earthquake yesterday, 20 persons were injured and many houses destroyed in various towns.
