AFriday’s closing quotations, with those '"of the previous week in parentheses, were as follow: — New Zealand, salted, 122 s (122 s to 1235; a year ago, Ills to 112 s); unsalted, 124 s to 125 s (125 s to 1265; a year ago, 114 s). Australian, salted, 119 s (119 to 120 s); unsalted. 120 s, ex 121 s (121 s Argentine, unsalted, 112 s to 116 s (112 s to 116 s). Danish, 130 s f.0.b.; 151 s to 152 s spot (1235; 144 s to 1455). Dutch, unsalted, 127 s (1235). Lithuanian, unsalted, 1255, firm (1255). South Africa, 116 s to 117 s. Deliveries of New Zealand butter from store last week were 1579 tons. The quantity in store on Friday, including 100 tons ex Waimarama, was 3587 tons, as against 3116 tons a year ago. Deliveries of Australian butter last week were 3295 tons, the quantity remaining in store being 6379 tons, as against 100 tons a year ago. The present price of 122 s a cwt for butter is equal to approximately 14.61 d a lb, f.0.b., New Zealand ports, compared with the guaranteed price of 14.89 d a lb, f.o.b. The London equivalent of the guaranteed price is 124 s 3d a cwt. The equivalent price of cheese is about 7.51 d a lb, f.0.b., compared with the guaranteed price of 8.42 d. Cheese eased slightly last week, but was steadier at the close. Friday’s closing quotations, with those of the previous week in parentheses, were as follow: — New Zealand: White and coloured, 60s to 66s 6d, ex 67s (675; a year ago, white 68s, coloured 68s 6d). Market steadier, New Zealand retail price unchanged, 9d. Australian: White, 60s to 62s (61s to 635); coloured, 63s to 65s (62s to Gss). Market quiet. Canadian: White and coloured, 72s to 74s (72s to 745); old season’s white, 80s; old season’s coloured, 80s to 82s. Market steadier. English: Finest farmers, 86s to 96s (86s to 965). Market steadier. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese from store last week totalled 12,821 crates. The quantity in store on Friday, including 1435 crates ex the Tekoa, was 35,775 crates, compared with 46,669 crates a 'year ago. Deliveries of Canadian cheese last week were 4184 boxes, the quantity in store being 120,354 boxes, as against 102.232 boxes a year ago. Cheese gradings in New Zealand for the week ended February 4 were 24,370 crates of white and 12,479 crates of coloured, a total of 37,119 crates.
