ANNUAL GATHER ING. One of the most popular oulings of the year is the Ahim iih< -P>.>iialahi sports meeting. Tins year lhe event will lake place on lhe (.'artcrlon Showgrounds on Saturday. February 18. This is the? opportunity io see the? best horsemen and horsewomen in action in the thrilling cvenls. Il is almost certain ilia! Ihcie will be a greater number ol competitors in ih 'Se events than al any previous meeting. 'Die pony events are sure to bo well filled. The baby show will draw a big entry and the dancing and piping and other events always have a big gallery. The sports commence at 11 a in. Morning and afternoon tea i ■. available on the grounds, being under the control of the Women's Division of the Farmerr' Union, and this is one of lhe enjoyable features of the outing'. Boiling waler is also available lor those wishing to picnic in the grounds.
