Candidates for entry as Stokers should be between the ages of 18 and 22 on May 5, 1939. Applications for entry must reach the Defence Office NOT LATER THAN MARCH 10, 1939. Twenty-two SEAMEN BOYS are required for entry in May, 1939. . Candidates for entry as Seamen Boys should be between the ages of 15 years 3 months and 16 years 3 months on May 26, 1939. Candidates within one month of these age limits may be considered in exceptional circumstances. Applications for entry must reach the Defence Office NOT LATER THAN MARCH 31, 1939. Twenty SHORT SERVICE ORDINARY SEAMEN are required for entry in June, 1939. Candidates for entry should be between the ages of 171 and 23 on June 16, 1939. Service is for six years in the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, and six years in the Reserve, with an option of transferring to continuous service if recommended.
