INDIAN ROPE TRICK
: AMAZING EXHIBITION AT THE SHOW. One of the attractions in the amusement section at the Masterton Show tomorrow and Wednesday will be the entertainment provided by Gunga Khan, the Hindu miracle boy, who is reported to have drawn big crowds everywhere. Possessing an uncanny gift of making objects appear from space and disappear in a similar manner, he has the whole audience mystified, while at the same time his cheerful patter is full of humour. His act finishes with a display of the Indian rope trick in which he will hypnotize a girl before the eyes of the audience, place her on the ground on top of the pope, and at his command the rope will ’rise with the girl to the top of the tent. Gunga will make the rope disappear, and the girl will be suspended in midair, a clever piece of work which must be seen be believed. Gunga Khan, it is claimed, is the only person in the world to perform this remarkable feat. This amazing illusion has been brought direct from darkest India and will prove one of the most interesting of the many features at the Show.
