From its earliest, days it has provided a ready means at its annual shows for the display of stock bred in the district and elsewhere and today the Master! on Show is recognised as
one of the principal A. and P. fixtures held in New Zealand. With other kindred societies the Association can claim to have materially assisted in bringing A\ airarapa stock Io the high position it occupies today. “My committee is sparing no efforts to make this year’s Show a worthy one.’’ said Air Welch. ‘‘Given favourable weather it is confidently anticipated that the Show will equal any previously held both in the number ol entries and in the attendance of the public. Aly committee has gone to considerable trouble to ensure that the tastes of all sections of the public are catered for and several new features will be seen at this year’s Show. Our ladies’ committee lias been very active in reorganising and popularising lhe home industry section. Considerable praise is due to the ladies lor their efforts in making these sections much more interesting and attractive. This year s Night Show promises to be an attractive and enjoyable occasion and one that should be well worth while at lending.
“As president,’’ said Air Welch. “I wish to express a word of thanks to the public for the excellent support our Show lias always had in the past and I am confident the same pleasure of support will be forthcoming at our coming Show. I also wish to express a word ol thanks to my commit ice for its excellent work and cooperation during the year. The running of a Show depends essentially on team work'. The Alasterlon A. ami P.
