proof is given, year by year at the annual Show of the Masterton A. and P. AssociacJ Hon, on its beautiful and handsomely-equipped grounds at Solway, of the important place the Wairarapa takes in the economic life of the Dominion, in its output of first-class primary produce, and in other ways. From that standpoint and in all respects the fixture which opens on Tuesday next promises to be well worthy of those that have gone before. In the following pages some account is given of the historical development and present standing of the noteworthy enterprise the 4. and P. Association has in charge. Space is given, too, to observations by political leaders, and by some of those who have taken an active part in the organisation and development of primary and other industries, on what has been accomplished in building up essential features of our national economy and on problems that command practical attention at the present day.
