COSY THEATRE

BULLDOG DRUMMOND.

Filmdom’s favourite screen sleuth, “Bulldog Drummond,” is coming back to town in a thrill-packed story of the efforts of international spies to capture an amazing military secret and to murder any one who knows too much about their activities! The picture is Paramount’s “Arrest Bulldog Drum-, mond!” and with John Howard playing the suave amateur detective, will be shown tonight at the Cosy Theatre. The story, from the pen of H. C. (Sapper) McNeile, traces the campaign of “Drummond” to round up the spies and murderers, hampered as he is by the stubborn ‘opposition of Scotland Yard and his fears that his llnancee, “Phyllis Clavering,” will be the next victim. With his usual pertinacity, “Drummond” forges right ahead and follows the ringleaders half way around the world before trapping them in an exciting final sequence. In the second feature Johnny Downs discovers a new disease —it’s called “Blonde Trouble,” and the symptoms are Eleanore Whitney and Terry Walker, Lynne Overman and William Demarest are cast in support of the featured trio.
