APPEAL FROM MID-ATLANTIC
FOUR LINERS SPEEDING TO RESCUE,
CREW OF 37 ON VESSEL.

Anxiety over the fate of the British freighter Maria Delarrinaga, which radioed: “5.0.5., sinking” in mid-Atlan-tic approximately 1100 miles from NewYork, increased greatly after three hours elapsed without further signals from her.
Four liners nearest to the freighter, but 200 miles distant, are speeding to the rescue. The vessel carries a crew of 37.
