ARAB PARTIES

TWO FORMING SINGLE DELEGATION DEFENCE & MUFTI GROUPS. MR MALCOM MacDONALD'S MEDIATION. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON. February 9. The Secretary of State for the Colonies, Mr Malcolm MacDonald, has reconciled the Arabs representing the Defence Party and those representing the Grand Mufti s party into forming a single degelation.

DELEGATES NOMINATED.

(Received This Day, 10.42 a.m.) RUGBY, February 9.

Ragheb Eey Nashashibi and Yakub Effendi Farraj, president and vicepresident, respectively, of the Defence Party, have been nominated as delegates on the joint delegation. Yakab Effendi is still in Palestine and has been summoned by telegram. Ragheb Bey Nashashibi is unwell and was unable to attend tonight’s conference at St James Palace, when the Arab case was opened by Jamal Husseini, a cousin of the Grand Mlifti. It is understood that his concise twenty-minute statement included some proposals. It has been decided that Dr Cham Weizmann’s statement on Wednesday and Jamal Husseini’s today, shall be published on February 10, when the conference will be occupied by the British Government's comment on Dr Weizmann’s statement. The next meeting with the Arab delegation has been fixed for February 11.
