CASH AND JEWELS STOLEN.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 9

Cash and jewellery valued at about £4OO were stolen from the home of Mr P. McGirr, King Edward Street, near the Dominion Road Post Office, during the brief absence of the owners last night. The intruders entered the house through a back window and opened a safe. A ladder was used to reach the window.
