FAST POLO
RANGITIKEI BEAT MASTERTON.
MATCH AT TE ORE ORE
A particularly fast and interesting polo match was played at Te Ore Ore yesterday afternoon between Masterton and Rangitikei teams. Six eight minute chukkas were played and the visitors won 5/2.
Rangitikei’s win was due to bettertimed shots and the possession of superior ponies. The visitors went into an early lead but over the last three chukkas their attack was broken up and Masterton were unlucky in not scoring on several occasions. The teams were: Rangitikei: Q. Wilson, E. Cousins, J. Wilson, W. Wilson; Masterton: R. Balfour, R. Hewitt, W. Levin and P. Perry.
