NEXT WEEK’S SHOW.
JN a good total of entries and in other ways, satisfactory evidence is offered that the Masterton A. and P. Show is maintaining the high place it has won among fixtures of'its kind. An unfavourable season is held responsible lor some falling off in sheep entries, but the cattle classes are considerably better filled than they were last year and total entries show a fairly substantial increase as compared with those 01. 1938. While stock and other displays will have their full claims to serious attention, enterprise has been brought to bear also upon the entertainment side of the programme. A wide range of competitive events at day and night gatherings will provide plenty of interest for young and old and with sideshow and other features there should be no lack ol the carefree enjoyment which is traditionally associated with the Show. The enterprising efforts of the A. and P. Association are being very well supported by stock owners, trade and other exhibitors and it only remains for the people of town, and country to attend in good numbers and by their patronage help to ensure the continued success of an enterprise which makes an important cpntrilpution to the progress and prosperity of the district.
