FEATHERSTON
CROQUET CLUB CONTESTS. (“Times-Ace” Special.) The Featherston Croquet Club held a honorary members’ day on Saturday. The prize winners were: —Golf. Mrs White; French, Mrs White; hurry scurry, Mesdames Williams and Benton: peg. Mrs Hoskings. Misses Lyford and Viles, of the Featherston Club, are playing in the Hutt tournament. which started yesterday. Bowling Championships. The championships of the Featherston Club were played during the weekend. J. W. Hyland. L. James. G. O. Neale, and W. Higgison (s) were beaten by A. S. Kilsby. H. W. Ayre. J. Anderson, and I-f. Bloxam (s) in a championship rink game. In the singles G. O. Neale beat W. Robinson, and J. Deas beat J. Higgison. Featherston is to play at Lyall Bay during the weekend. Personal. Mr D. J. McWilliam, of the staff of the Bank of New Zealand, left on his annual leave on Saturday. Mr H. R. H. Hammond is relieving during his absence.
