ALFREDTON TALKIES
JOE E. BROWN TOMORROW,
Side-splitting comedy situations, thrilling adventures and a swift succession of hilarious incidents feature “When's Your Birthday?" Joe E. Brown's new laughing success which will be screened at Alfredton on Thursday night. First seen as a youngman following a highly unsuccessful pugilistic career, in order to pay for a course in astrology, and collecting black eyes with monotonous regularity. Brown finally secures a job as a soothsayer, and thenceforth leads such a hectic existence that his disastrous ring career seems mild by comparison. The climax is one long roar of laughter. This picture should not be missed by picture patrons who appreciate good comedy. The supporting cast includes Marian Marsh and Edgar Kennedy, also Corky, the cleverly trained dog. . There are several scenes in technicolour. The supports are excellent and the whole programme is of out-, standing merit.
