OUTLOOK FOR PEACE

LORD NUFFIELD THINKS IT PROMISING BRITAIN READY FOR ANY EVENTUALITY. ARMY & NAVY NEVER IN BETTER FETTLE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. FREMANTLE, February G. The outlook for world peace is most promising, declared Lord Nuffield, who arrived from South Africa today. He added: “The people of the Dominions need not be pessimistic about Britain’s defences. Her army and navy have never been in better fettle.

“Any impression that Britain shirks war is entirely erroneous. She simply desires to avoid it in the interests of humanity. England today is ready for any eventuality.”

Lord Nuffield has come to Austra--lia for a rest after a strenuous year in England. He will visit Sydney and returns to England on March 3.
