Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 6 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. General situation: Pressure has fallen still further off the East Coast but an anticyclone is now advancing from the Tasman Sea on to the Dominion; over south-eastern Australia pressure has fallen. Forecast, light to fresh southerly winds turning to north-west-erly during tomorrow, a few showers at first in eastern districts but otherwise fair to fine; temperatures cool tout rising twnwr&w.
