THIRTEEN DESSERTS
In Marseilles and in the region along the sunny seaboard of the Medierranean, thirteen desserts are put on the table on Christmas Day, an allusion to Christ and the twelve apostles. It is customary for every diner to eat a little of each of thirteen desserts.
