KAIPARORO RIFLE CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Kaiparoro Rifle Club’s competition for Mr O. Walton’s trophy was won by Rifleman F. Schormann with a total score of 189, Rifleman A. Hansen being runner-up with a score of 189, being counted out by the winner. The scores were: —
The following teams will represent the Kaiparoro Club tomorrow: A team: A. Hansen, J. McAnulty, O. Walton, L. Welch, C. Welch, K. Henson, J. Torrey, J. Dick. B team: R. Henson. P. Henson, D. Johansen, W. Braddick, C. Nielsen. Cricket Match. At Tiraumea on Sunday a cricket match was played between the Rongomai and Tiraumea cricket teams, the game being drawn. Tiraumea scored 141 (G. Houlbrooke 27, G. Hart 27, C. Raleigh 25). Rongomai compiled 109 for 9 wickets when time was called. (R. Graham 48, retired; J. Morrison 12 and J. Reid 11). The Tiraumea ladies provided lunch in the hall and afternoon tea,-Mr R. Graham, on behalf of the Rongomai team thanked Tiraumea for the enjoyable game, and also the ladies for their hospitality. Mr G. Hart suitably replied, followed by cheers for both teams and for the ladies. EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE. LAMB PRICES FIRM. Prices for lambs at yesterday’s sale remained firm on last week’s values. Mr C. E. Goss made top price for the season of 23s for good ewe lambs, there being spirited bidding for them. Competition throughout for lambs was keen.

TO PLAY MANGAMAIRE.
The following is the Eketahuna cricket team to play Mangamaire at Mangamaire tomorrow: —H. Higginson (captain), F. Robinson, R. Mountjoy, H. Walton, R. Payne, W. Leith, B. Dinnan, P. Payne, M. Hansen, J. Reid, A. ftowden. Reserves: J. Morrison, R. Hornblow. SWIMMING CARNIVAL. TOMORROW’S GATHERING. Conditions are at the moment all that could be desired for the swimming carnival which is to be held tomorrow at Eketahuna. Arrangements are complete down to the smallest detail and a very capable band of officials -will have charge of the sports. A strong contingent of Masterton swimmers intend to be present as well as competitors from other parts of the Wairarapa. It is anticipated that the gathering will be the most successful of its kind ever recorded in Eketahuna.
