XTOTICE is hereby given that the Wairarapa Electric Power Board proposes at its meeting, to be held on February 16 ,1939, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £20,000 to provide for the reticulation of and the supply of electricity to the Taueru, Tinui and Langdale Districts. It is proposed to make and levy as security for such loan a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny in the £ on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable properties situated in the Taueru, Tinui and Langdale special rating area. It is not anticipated that it will be necessary to collect such rate, as the additional loan charges will be paid from the increased revenue which will be collected from the areas which will be reticulated with the loan money.
Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Wairarapa Electric Power Board at its Head Office, Carterton, not later than the day preceding the said meeting. Dated this Ist day of February, 1939. GEO. BROWN, Secretary-Manager.
