PARK CLUB. COMPETITION RESULTS. Games played in the various club competitions resulted as follows:— Champion Singles.—Thompson, beat Spackman 20/16, Dagg beat Nancarrow 21/18, Jobson beat Reader 22/16, Taylor beat Ferguson 23/19, Dagg beat Jobson 16/15, Shearer beat Staniforth 18/15, Brown beat Simpson 15/10. Champion Pairs. —Reader and Simpson (s) beat Roff and Brown (s) 21/18, Buckley and Burke (s) beat Butler and' Spackman (s) 24/20, Roff and Brown (s) beat Nancarrow and Winhall ■ (s) 25/22, Kilgour and Southey (s) beat Buckley and Burke (s) 21/15, Moor and Fenton (s) beat Frost and Dixon (s) 21/19, Nancarrow and Winhall (s) beat Leigh and Thompson (s) 21/16. Champion Fours.—As was anticipated the final game in this contest between Drummond, Jenkins, Roff, Jobson (s) and Emerson, Spackman, Southey, Kilgour (s) provided a splendid exhibition of bowling. Weather conditions were perfect and the green was faultless. Up to the fourteenth head the game was slightly in Jobson’s favour, his score then being 13 to Kilgour’s 11. The “Devil’s Number,” however, proved a stumbling block to Jobson’s team. Kilgour increased his score by singles until at the close of the twentieth head the board showed,the score to be 18/13 in his favour. Jobson won the last head with a single and the final result was: Kilgour 18, Jobson 14. The game was closely watched by a large number of spectators, and both teams were heartily applauded for their splendid and sportsmanlike play. Spackman Cup (colts’ singles).—Taylor beat Tamblyn 26/19, Smith beat Ferguson 23-21. Keetley Medals—The holders, Leigh and Southey (s), beat the challengers, Smith and Thompson (s) 25/19. Booth Cup and Shield.—The fourth round of these contests was played on Saturday between the Featherston and Park Clubs, the Cup games resulting in a win for Featherston by three games to one, and for the Shield in a victory for the Park. Details are as follow, Featherston players mentioned first in each instance. Cup:—
At Featherston. —Anderson, Willett, Hyland, Smith (s) beat Fenton, Burke, Carr, Thompson (s) 30/14; Murray, Lamb, Neal, Dees (s) beat Buckley, Brown, Bell, Shearer (s) 21/14. At the Park.—Card, McKenzie, James, Rolls (s) lost to Emerson, Staniforth, Vincent, Kilgour (s) 18/21; Robson, Harris, Higgison, Bloxam (s) beat Ferguson, Jenkins, Jobson, Southey (s) 21/16.
Shield at Featherston.— Roxburgh, Karatiana, Fuge, Higgison (s) lost to Newton, Leigh, Reader, Simpson (s) 23/25.
