One questioner asked, if Guam were so equipped, would it not be of greater value to Singapore and Australia than for thp defence of the United States, pointing out that Guam was 2600 miles from Singapore. 1300 from Australia, but 3800 from Hawaii. Admiral Hepburn expressed the contrary opinion.
