WOOL MARKET
CHRISTCHURCH SALE. OFFERING ON MONDAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 27. The second Christchurch wool sale of the present season will be held on Monday vzith a catalogue of 24,315 bales. Recent developments in the market indicate that there will be some reduction of prices on the December sale. The wool to be offered consists mainly of fine halfbreds from the easy country in Mid-Canterbury and North Canterbury, and contains most of the standard ewe clips usually offered at the second Christchurch sale. Ewe clips sold in Christchurch in January have been for many years a feature of the New Zealand sales and have usually secured top prices. The wool has come forward in good condition from almost all districts Though not so much showy wool as usual is included, generally it is well-grown and sound, with good depth and with appreciably less appearance of yolk stain than was apparent last season.
