GLADSTONE SPORTS

MEETING ON SATURDAY. A popular annual district sports meeting, that held at Gladstone, will take place on Saturday next at Mr R. Gray’s property, Admiral Road. The spot is an ideal one for a picnic, being an easy motor drive from Masterton. Among the events to be decided will be piping and dancing, horse competitions and running races. The programme is a most attractive, one and should result in very large entries being received and provide the public with a most enjoyable day’s sport. In the evening a dance will be held in the Gladstone Hall and this function will doubtless be largely attended as it is always one of the principal social events of the season.
