Progress has been well maintained in the New Zealand croquet championships tournament in Palmerston North, which reached its sixth day today. The semi-finalists in the level singles have been found. In the top half Mrs McCreath (Gore) will meet Mrs Duckworth (Palmerston North), the winner meeting Mrs Hill (Feilding) in the final. A westerly wind today affected the accuracy of shots, but the greens are standing up well to constant wear. Results: — MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. Second Life. Second round: Penn beat McCreath, 26-10.
