THE POSITION IN BRITAIN DOMINIONS OBJECTING TO RESTRICTIONS. COUNCIL TO MEET NEXT TUESDAY. Ey Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.0 p.m.) LONDON, January 24. The Empire Meat Council has received communications from New Zealand and Australia which are considered to warrant a meeting on January 31 to reconsider the position. ~ Official circles refuse to discuss the Dominions’ opposition to the imposition of restrictions, but it is believed that the meeting on January 31 will enable the council to forward a scheme to the Board of Trade. The Government is anxious for a settlement before the assembly, of Parliament.
