The Empire Meat Council has received communications from New Zealand and Australia which are considered to warrant a meeting on January 31 to reconsider the position. ~ Official circles refuse to discuss the Dominions’ opposition to the imposition of restrictions, but it is believed that the meeting on January 31 will enable the council to forward a scheme to the Board of Trade. The Government is anxious for a settlement before the assembly, of Parliament.
