SAFETY DEVICE NOT F'TTED. INVESTIGATION TO BE MADE. WASHINGTON. January 22. Imperial Airways’ failure to equip the Cavalier with the standard American equipment for heating the carburettors to prevent icing-up has been reported to the Civil Aeronautics Authority. Tne report will be investigated when Imperial Airways application for a certificate enabling them to continue using an American airport for tne service to Bermuda is considered.
