Mrs F. J. Evans, of Eketahuna. is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs G. T. Allen, of Eketahuna. is visiting Palea Mrs R. C. Satherly is a Pongaroa visitor to Wellington. Mrs F. H. Mayman, of Pongaroa, is visiting Hatuma. Miss H. Head, Wellington, has been visiting Mrs W. Russell, Renall Street, Masterton. Nurse J. Bansgrove. of Hokitika, has joined the staff of the Pahiatua Public Hospital. Mrs R. C. Scott, who had been on a visit to Aokautere, has returned to Pongaroa. Mr and Mrs C. Corbett, of Lower Hutt, spent the week-end in Masterton. Miss M. Norgrovc, of Blenheim, who has been the guest of Mrs R. Farrow, of Rongokokako, has left for Levin. Mrs St John, Nelson, who has been visiting Mrs H. McCarty, Featherston, has returned home. Mrs L. James, who has been spending the holidays in Paraparaumu, has returned to Featherston. Mr and Mrs A. B. Wallace. Cambridge Terrace, Masterton have returned from a visit to Wellington. Mrs C. Wenden and Miss G. Wenden, of Featherston, are the guests of Mrs V. Wilton, King Street, Pahiatua. Miss Tui Anderson, who has been a Wairarapa visitor to Palmerston North for the tennis tournament, has returned to her home. Word has been received in Pahiatua of the death at Auckland of Mrs Nisbet Mcßobie, widow of the late Mr N. McRobie. Mrs Mcßobie was well known some years ago in Pahiatua, where her husband was editor of the “Pahiatua Herald.” ENGAGEMENT. HAY CAMPBELL—CAREY. The engagement is announced of Anthea Joan, only daughter of Mrs F. W. Carey, Wanganui, and the late F. W. Carey, and Thomas Neil, only son of Mrs C. D. Hay Campbell, Wanganui, and the late C. D. Hay Campbell.
