GRASS FIRE

OUTBREAK IN RENALL STREET. At 12.58 o'clock yesterday morning an alarm of fire was received at Masterton Fire Brigade, Station from the Opaki-Third Street alarm box. but on the brigade arriving in the vicinity it was discovered that it was a false alarm. The brigade received a call at 10.11 o'clocK yesterday morning to a grass fire at the back of a house in Renall Stret owned by Mrs Winteringham. The brigade quickly had the outbreak under control, the only damage being a small area of grass destroyed.
