MINERS ENTOMBED IN JAPAN GAS EXPLOSION IN DEEP PIT. SIX MEN RESCUED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 9.45 a.m.) TOKIO, January 22. By a gas explosion in a coal mine at Miyadacho, in the Prefecture of Fukuoka, five miles below the surface. seventy-five miners were entombed. Six have been rescued and five bodies have been recovered.
