The first shipment of mercury produced in Canada from what is believed to be the only mercury mine in the British Empire was recently forwarded from Vancouver to Montreal, where it will be used industrially. The shipment comprised 75 pounds of mercury extracted from a mine in the vicinity of Bridge River, British Columbia.
