' Mrs. Peter McLaren, Homebush, is spending a holiday at the Marlborough Sounds.

Mrs C. K. McLaren, of Arohunui. Hinakura. is spending a holiday at 'Anakewa, Marlborough Sounds. Mrs Andrew Hornblow, Wellington, who has been visiting Masterton, returned home yesterday. Mrs H. L. Esau, of Cole Street, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Pahintua.

Mrs. A. W. Horton and Miss Joyce Horton, of Greytown, have left on a visit to the South Island.

Mrs. C. D. Butler, Dunedin, who is touring the North Island, has been spending a few days with Mrs A. Towns, Essex Street, Masterton. Mrs Callanan, of New Plymouth, is on a visit to Greytown, and is staying with her mother, Mrs. Butler, of Mole Street.

Miss Joan Judd, of Greytown, is on a visit to Puka Puka, Auckland," where she is the guest of her sister, Mrs L. R. Jury.

Miss E. McDonald, formerly Plunket Nurse in the Eketahuna district, who has ben on relieving duty at Gisborne, is at present making a stay in Palmerston North.

Mrs. G. Jackson, of Masterton, tendered a kitchen tea last night to Miss Ina Hutchins, in view of her approaching marriage. A most enjoyable time was spent in dancing, games and singing. A large number of useful gifts were brought to the gathering.
