CHILDREN'S SPORTS

GATHERING AT BUSHGROVE.

A children’s sports meeting was held recently at “Bushgrove,” Masterton, and was most successful. The whole meeting was organised and judged by Miss Elaine Groves with the help of .1 number of other children, none of whom was over 14 years of age. All the events went off without a hitch, and everything was carried out in proper sports meeting manner. The gathering was a credit to the children, especially the way the ponies were groomed and ridden.

Results are as follow: — Flag race.—Phyllis Groves 1, Hilda French 2.

Walking race. —Mary Asplet 1, Esther Bellis 2.
