PARADE OF STARS
IN “GOLDWYN FOLLIES.” Sam Goldwyn, who produced “The Hurricane,” the picture which was popular because it was entirely different, now provides the most amazing array of talent ever assembled in a single production in the technicolour musical extravaganza, “The Goldwyn Follies," which opens at the State Theatre tomorrow at 3 p.m. Drawing from every field of entertainment to augment a screen cast headed by Adolphe Menjou, the Ritz Brothers. Andrea Leeds. Ella Logan. Jerome Cowan and the Gorgeous Goldwyn Girls, the producer secured radio's Edgar Bergen and “Charlie McCarthy," Phil Baker. Kenny Baker, Helen Jepson and Charles Kullmann. The story casts Menjou as a film producer out of touch with his public who hires a typical American girl (in the person of Andrea Leeds) lo toll him what that public wants.
Metro-Goldwyn - Mayor announces that the following players have been selected to appear in "Stand Up and Fight":— Robert Taylor, Wallace Beery, Florence Rice, Helen Broderick. Charley Gra'pewin. John Qualen, and Clinton Rosemont. The picture is now in production.
