Ten more deaths were reported in New South Wales yesterday, bringing the total during the heat wave to 124. Good rains have fallen in the coastal and tablelands areas, but there is no relief in the far western districts, which are still suffering intense heat. The Government has decided to grant assistance to those who suffered loss by bush fires. The Lord Mayor has opened a relief fund.
