IMPROVING VISIBILITY

SUGGESTION BY MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD.

The desirability of improving corners at intersections with main highways where visibility is restricted, was stressed in a letter received at yesterday’s meeting of the Masterton County Council from the Main Highways Board. The board stated that it was prepared to assist financially and invited the council to submit proposals. Councillors agreed that the junction of the Bideford Road with the Master-ton-Castlepoint Main Highway was one of the worst in the county. The matter was left in the hands of the Clerk to submit proposals to the Board.
