MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT APPOINTED DR. T. L. PARR. OF LOWER HUTT. NINE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. Dr. T. L. Parr, M. 8.. Ch. M.. of Lower Hutt, was appointed full-time Medical Superintendent of the Masterton Hospital. at tod;:,'.'.'' mooting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board. His appointment, from nine applicatons. has been supported by the Department of Health. Dr. Parr, who is 42 years of age, was educated at Sydney Grammar School and Sydney University. He graduated a..; a Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery in 1916: From September. 1915 .to March, 1916. Dr. Parr was acting resident medical officer al Crown Street Hospital for Women in Sydney. He joined Hie staff of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney in 1916 as House Physician and House Surgeon, and in 1917 ho was appointed Surgical Registrar. From February to September of 1919, he was senior resident medical officer at that hospital and when he resigned he took up a positiop of temporary surgeon to the Royal Australian Navy. Dr. Parr came to New Zealand in 1919, when he was appointed Medical Superintendent of the Nelson Hospital, a position he held until June of 1921. For a year he was tutor in Clinical Medicine at Otago University, and from August, 1922, to May, 1927, he was Medical Superintendent of the 5 imam Public Hospital.
