HITLER’S EYRIE

NEW MOUNTAIN HOME

ROOMS BLASTED FROM ROCK.

PLANS TO BE SHAPED IN SOLITUDE.

By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON. January 16.

Herr Hitler has completed a costly eyrie at the summit of the 6050-feet Kalhstein peak, south-west of Berchtesgaden, where he will plan his future actions in solitude, says the Berlin correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph. A huge iron door opens unexpectedly to permit penetration of a rock wall which apparently blocks the spiral motor road. Explosives were used to create a chamber on the other side which provides a limestone-floored garage from which a lift ascents 1800 feet to the summit, where a pavilion has been constructed of steel and glass. Enormous windows afford beautiful mountain views.
