Rain, 1 point. General Situation. —Yesterday's cyclone centre has moved to the south of the South Island, and the situation is now a very intense one of the westerly type. Forecast: Strong north-west to westerly winds predominating, reaching gale force and in places strong gale force. Weather: Squally and rather changeable with occasional showers and possibly some hail. Temperatures cooler.
