GREYHOUND RACING
WAIRARAPA COURSING CLUB MEETING.
KEEN CONTESTS ON SATURDAY.
Keen and interesting contests were witnessed at Solway Showgrounds on Saturday afternoon when the Wairarapa Coursing Club stageci a greyhound racing meeting. The fixture, which was well controlled, attracted a large attendance of the public, who were treated to a splendid afternoon’s sport. Excellent entries were received and all the events were closely and keenly contested.
A running commentary on the events, broadcast by Mr D. Grimwood. was much appreciated. The cups ano trophies were presented to the successful owners by the president of the club, Mr J. Bradbury. It was announced that Mr C. E. Grey had presented the club with a silver flask valued at £5 5s for competition a the next meeting.
