Crowds cheered Mr Chamberlain on his arrival at Victoria Station and again at Whitehall, but there was an absence of the enthusiasm marking his returns from Germany. The “Daily Telegraph's" Berlin correspondent says comment on the result of Mr Chamberlain’s visit to Rome leaves no doubt that Italy will more vigorously proceed to press her Mediterranean claims, safe in knowledge that she can count on Germany's uncompromising support. Herr Frick, in a speech, hinted that the Reichstag was being summoned shortly, when Herr Hitler would more definitely indicate his attitude. Herr Frick placed the future of Memel and the colonies in the forefront of problems demanding solution.
