MAN WHO RESISTED ARREST. INTOXICATED IN CHARGE OF CAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ASHBURTON. This Day. A fine of £2O was imposed on William Henry Tait, a butcher of Ashburton. for being intoxicated while in charge of a car. The police stated that accused was found on the s'de of the road on the new main road to Fairton (49 miles from Christchurch) on Saturday evening. He resisted arrest and had to be handcuffed.
