FARR BEATEN

BOXING MATCH IN NEW YORK. POINTS DECISION TO BURMAN. By Telegraph—Press Association Copyright. NEW YORK. January 14. Clarence Burman, a protege of Jack Dempsey, was given the decision on points against Tommy Farr in a tenrounds boxing contest today. The spectators booed the decision for five minutes, evidently believing that Farrs rally in the tenth, round when he battered his opponent round the ring should have entitled him to the decision.

Though Burman forced the fighting throughout the remainder of the rounds, it was an interesting fight in which many blows landed, but neither man had sufficient power to make his punches vital.
