LONDON QUOTATIONS. LAMB MARKET EASIER. Lamb market easier, on the heavier Australian supplies. . Trade generally slow, but our new season’s meeting with fair inquiry. Mutton market: Wethers, better inquiry, with prices steady. Ewes weak, owing to poor demand. Beef market: Frozen beef meeting with fair trade; chilled beef, good trade, but prices lower on the week. New Zealand porker pigs: Shade easier on the quiet demand. New Zealand baconer pigs: Easier, owing to weak bacon market. Boneless bobby veal: Weaker tendency owing to heavier supplies. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board from its London office, which advises that the following are the ruling prices ol wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beet prices are on the basis of delivered tc Smithfield market. Prices for the previous week are shown in parentheses:—

Compared with last week’s quotations Down lamb 28/361bs -Jd per lb lower, 36/421bs Jd per lb lower, ewes 48/561bs id per lb lower. Others unchanged. The lamb market is quiet. The market is slightly easier all round and the demand for New Zealand mutton is poor. Prices where changed in buyers’ favour.”
