AUSTRALIAN AIR MINISTER AT SINGAPORE. LINKS IN EMPIRE CHAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received Tnis Day, 9.0 a.m.) SINGAPORE, January 13. The Australian Minister for Aviation, Mr H. V. C. Thorby, arrived here and was received by the air officer commanding and the Director of Civil Aviation.

Interviewed, Mr Thorby said: “I hope to gather considerable knowledge of the Singapore and Malayan defences and how they link up with the defences of Australia, New Zealand and New Guinea." He will dine at Government House tonight.
