AN EVENING CHASE
BUSINESS MAN FINDS INTRUDER IN OFFICE. ARREST MADE IN STREET. (By Telegraph—Press Association » WELLINGTON. This Day. Returning to his office at eight, o'clock last night. Mr Andrew Fletcher found that, some person had forced an entry. He went upstairs and shouted: "Is anyone there?" He saw the shadow of a man through a glass door and ordered him to stay where lie was, but the man darted through another doorway. Mr Flctchc-r followed him, and tried to hold him in the room while ho telephoned for the police, but the man made off with Mr Fletcher in pursuit. Mr Fletcher tripped on a nail-puller. He hailed two young men in a car. They searched about and eventually saw a man board an Island Bay car. but he got off at the Bank of New Zealand cornei-. Their suspicions were confirmed when ho saw a constable walking towards him, and they asked the constable to arrest him.
